Art in the Loft Excursions. We are extending our classroom out into the community to enrich student experiences as we explore various artistic modalities from natural parks to brick & mortar.

What could be better than spending time outdoors submerged in natural beauty....

And resources, if you know where to look!

Whether you are looking to live a more self sustained lifestyle or looking for healthy alternatives to build your immune system. This is the class for you!

Equipped with a wealth of knowledge and life experience to share, Board Certified Naturopatheic Joan Prentice RN, ND, CMT, along with wildcrafter Monica Strieter

will first gather in our culinary kitchen here at Art in the Loft as they guide students through the process of making their own personalized elderberry syrup. Upon completion, students will gather at two different locations in town to locate the herbs used in this process.

Rounding out our session, students will car pool or drive separate as we gather at Besser Natural Area. Where we will meet plants in their natural habitat, as you learn how to properly identify, utilize to their best ability and harvest responsibly as we walk the beautiful trails along the Lake Huron shoreline.

Discover natures wellness as we explore our natural surroundings!
