AITL Excursions: Art on the Island Summer Camp - Painting with nature and printmaking
Art in the Loft Excursions. We are extending our classroom out into the community to enrich student experiences as we explore various artistic modalities from natural parks to brick & mortar.
As long as there has been art, artists have been inspired by nature. A combination that allows connection and inspiration.
As part of our AITL Excursions, you are invited to join us for our NEW summer camp series, Art on the Island! Where students have three opportunities to explore endless forms of inspiration.
Day three: Painting with nature and printmaking
Working with elements found and gathered as well as provided from within the classroom, our AITL camp explorers will learn the art of printmaking. In addition to printmaking, students will craft brushes in nature to create their own painted masterpieces. And In the theme of creating, students will also gain a "taste" of the culinary arts by assembling their own Animal cracker crunch trail mix treat.
So grab a comfy pair of hiking shoes, your water bottle, sunscreen or hat and join us as we explore and implement the beauty that surrounds us!
*Students will meet at the island park entrance where they will be checked in prior to camp. Guardians are encouraged to join in on the fun, but are not required.
**In the event of a poor weather forecast, students will be notified and festivities will be relocated back into our classroom at Art in the Loft.
