Steve Jakubcin is part of the 45th Lens photo squad and resides in Alpena, MI. Steve was raised by a dad who loved photography and believed in taking several back-ups in case the first one didn't pan out. Fortunately, technology has evolved from the Canon AE-1 days, and digital cameras have spared Steve's children the same torture.
Steve enjoys landscape, candid and astrophotography and has been encouraged to explore his hobby from Rick & Justin who are both members of the 45th Lens squad and his wife Alison. Steve has three kids (Jordan, Kelsey and Gabe) and a Jack-A-Bee named Stoli.
Through his photo journey Steve has also made his way to working with video and cinema. This past year Steve released a short documentary on the story of the Community Fish Murals that stands right outside The Loft. He continues to work on showing the beauty of Northeast Michigan through both photography and film.
