Robert (Bob) Sullivan fell in love with photography when he bought a film camera at a yard sale for 10 cents at 9 years old. A friend after seeing images of a rodeo he took gave him an Argus C-4- 35 mm camera and the rest they say is history. Bob continued to be interested in photography all through high school in Hillman and into the Air Force.  After graduating college and working for Sears Portrait Studios, he moved to Kauai, Hawaii. There he worked for Photo Spectrum, a photography company specializing in Weddings & Portraits. Bob returned to Northern Michigan and opened Robert Sullivan Photography, a business specializing in Weddings, Portraits, Sports and Activities in Alpena which he has run for over 18 years. His favorite type of shooting has been of landscapes, flowers, waterfalls and nature. He continues this type of photography still today.
Our mission is to enrich the quality of life in Northeast Michigan through an arts center that offers learning opportunities and increases public participation in the arts.  The gallery has over 7,000 square feet of open loft space devoted to the exhibit of fine art by local, regional and national artists.
