Nancy Capers is the founder and owner of Nancy Capers designs where she specializes in the casting and fabrication of her own unique jewelry designs. Nancy finds inspiration for her designs from travel; her most recent trip being to Hong Kong and Beijing in 2014. She also visited Florence, Italy, in May 2012. She views jewelry as fashion, which is forever evolving. Prior to starting Nancy Capers Designs, Nancy was a production manager and designer for Proprioro from 1987-1992. As a designer, she designed, cast, and set stones in various mediums of jewelry. Nancy was also an employee of the Sierra Casting Company. In the casting foundry, she perfected the lost wax process in jewelry making and Bronze sculpture. Nancy earned her bachelor of fine arts from the California College of the Arts in San
Francisco, California, where she majored in metal arts and received a minor in art history. In her spare time, Nancy is an award winning painter and member of the Gaylord Council of the Arts where she is on the board of Visual Arts committee. Nancy is the mother of three and lives on an organic poultry farm in Johannesburg, Michigan with her husband, Jerome.
