Marilyn has lived at Hubbard Lake since 1992. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan and has been a nurse and teacher as well as an artist. She enjoys gardening, bicycling and golfing in addition to painting.
Marilyn is the past president and co-founder of the Northeast Michigan Artist Guild.
In addition to galleries, Marilyn has had one-person shows in Florence, Alabama and the Jesse Besser Museum in Alpena. She has won many “Best of Show” awards in Alabama, Florida and Michigan. She has been painting all her life, but seriously for over 20 years and enjoys the continuous challenge of creative expression with paint.
She received her signature membership in ISEA (International Society of Experimental Artists) in 2016 and successfully competed to exhibit in Washington D.C. and New York City.
