I've always been passionate about photography... it is so much more than point and click. It is art, it is a way to capture truth and beauty and keep it forever.
Photography opened my eyes to the world around me. In 2011, an artist friend convinced me to enter a juried art show at the Alfred Berkowitz Gallery - University of Michigan Dearborn, which included all mediums. My photograph, "Elmwood Creek Sunrise", placed 3rd overall! Since then I've entered several gallery shows and my photography has been well received. My images have also been on display at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center Gallery, Besser Museum and Thunder Bay Art Gallery. We believe in giving back to the community, and for the past 3 years, my husband and I have volunteered our time to take portraits of children waiting to be adopted at the Michigan Heart Gallery. We thoroughly enjoy spending our time with the kids and staff. I live at Grand Lake with my husband, Bob, and two dogs. We are surrounded by the beauty of nature which is both the backdrop for my portrait photography, and an inspiration for my landscape and fine art photography! |
