Connecting Cultures Through Creativity: Palate to Palette Passport
Join us for 3 fun-filled mornings packed full of hands-on art and culinary exploration at Art in the Loft, during our "Palate to Palette Passport" summer camp.
Creative Campers will meet in our culinary classroom where they will learn how to prepare (and enjoy) health-minded meals each day with a different country in mind. Navigating their way around the kitchen, learning basic math and measurement skills, kitchen safety, beginning knife skills, operating age appropriate kitchen equipment, cleanliness and more. All while learning how to prepare and personalize additional meals that could be further enjoyed at home for lunch and dinner all summer long.
Next up, our traveling campers will explore their way around our creative classroom where they will draw, cut, print, paint and prepare multiple art projects themed around the country they are "traveling" to that day. Each day ending with additional culinary life lessons, artistic fun facts and a dine in experience among our SummerView Art Exhibit on display in the gallery. From here to there, Greece, Peru and Egypt are all on our traveling itinerary. So leave the creativity and clean up to us while happy campers travel and staycation at the same time...
Unplug from the tablets, TV and gaming systems to cook and create with us!
