Life Is Full Of Pasta'bilities: A Self Care Event For Kiddos Who Love To Cook!
Life is full of Pasta'bilities... The idea that there are no limits to what a person can achieve or create when they take care of their heart, mind and health.
From the importance of exercise, handling big emotions and stress management, to healthy eating habits and treating ourselves with kindness. This event is designed to teach children self love in health-minded ways.
Certified Nutritionist and owner of Fresh Focus Nutrition & Wellness, Jess Krawczak, will teach students about hydration, vitamins and minerals. How we eat with our eyes first, and the importance of incorporating the rainbow into our everyday eating habits.
Wynne Teak, Owner and Specialized Therapist of Willow Tree Physical Therapy will lead students through a variety of stretches and breathing practices. All while teaching students the importance of our breath and the impact it has on our physical and mental wellbeing.
Students will get hands-on in our culinary classroom learning all about kiddo favored, PASTA! From whole wheat and gluten free, the difference between allergies and intolerance, to zoodle noodles and the variety of vegetables that can create them. All while creating a vegetable marinara sauce from scratch (even the pickiest of eaters will love). After doing so, students will build their own pasta bowls from a variety of noodles, sauce, protein, and enjoy a healthier spin on a classic comfort food.
All of this and more! So join us as we intermix culinary life skills, create excitement around moving our bodies, healthy eating habits, and celebrate taking care of ourselves!
*Includes Dinner, a fun take-home gift with a personal Journal, pen, inspirational stickers and most of all, valuable life skills.
