Taste Buds: Back to School!
Designed specifically for teens interested in cooking, Taste Buds is a hands-on culinary experience with friends.
Whether it's just for fun or to try something new, the culinary arts are a wonderful way to express creativity. Cooking can also help students establish healthy relationships with food, improve self confidence and mental health, prepare students for independence and enhance their career path. From connecting with others and working together as a team, to multi-tasking math, science and problem solving skills. Learning the fundamental skills of cooking is essential to living a happier, healthier and more self-sufficient life. Bonus: We make it fun!
In this session: It's all about back to school! Let us help you improve your morning groove, as mornings can be tough getting up, ready and out the door (that alone eat).
Join certified nutritionist and educator, Jess Krawczak, as she leads students through preparing their own breakfast and after school snacks inspired by bright, vibrant colors (ROY-G-BIV).
We all need to eat, and as much as a quick 'grab and go' is handy in a pinch, you can't survive on Doritos alone. So Bring a friend (or join us as you make new ones), and level up your cooking skills with us!
Instructor: Jess Krawczak
Date: September 20th, 2024
