Grilling & Yakitori
Chef Griffin Sexton (a former Graduate of Johnson & Whales University in Providence, Rhode Island), is currently here visiting before returning to work in California next month. While in Alpena, he is inspired to share some of his time, knowledge and talent with all of us. Devised offerings every Thursday in July (excluding the 4th). Join us for one, two, or all three!
Second up, Grilling & Yakitori!
In this class, Chef Sexton will work with everyone hands-on in creating their Yakitori skewers from preferences of beef, chicken pork and vegetables. Followed by a demonstration on making tare in kitchen, prepared fresh and roasted vegetables, before relocating down into the pocket park for a variety of demonstrations. From creating a portable grill to igniting charcoal.
After both the visual and hands on lessons are complete, student guests will have the opportunity to dine in the pocket park, or over coffee/cocktail among our SummerView art exhibit in the gallery.
