In honor of the 50th annual Brown Trout Festival... We are kicking things off with a traditional form of Japanese art, that began as a way for fishermen to keep a record of the trophy fish they caught. Also known as Gyotaku.
Join artist, Beth Preston as she guides students of all ages and skill levels through this printing & painting workshop.
Students will be working with a quality canvas like paper, variety of Great Lake fish molds (as opposed to live fish), ink, paint and stamps to further customize their creative masterpieces. Creating fun souvenirs to frame or gift in honor of the 50th anniversary of Alpena's Brown Trout Festival.
